Key Responsibilities of the Vice President of Manufacturing:
- Lead Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations in two plants, ensuring production of premium-quality food products that meet the highest industry standards.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop and implement operational strategies that drive growth, profitability, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize Production Processes: Streamline production workflows, introduce best practices, and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
- Ensure Quality & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of quality control and food safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and exceeding consumer expectations.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the P&L for both plants, achieving financial goals, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability without compromising product quality.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Mentor plant managers and supervisors to optimize performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant workplace.
Desired Background and Experience for the VP of Manufacturing:
- Experience: 7+ years in operations leadership in the food manufacturing or production industry, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of successfully managing, motivating, and leading teams in a high-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Operational Expertise: Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), and scaling production efficiently.
