Renee began her professional career in Australia in the field of corporate accounting at KPMG, Melbourne. She quickly discovered her love of business but realized that her true passion was for the human aspects of running the business. In her desire to help business owners capitalize on the human potential within their businesses, Renee became a headhunter and HR Consultant.
It was not until Renee joined her husband in running their technology company in Canada, that she truly began to appreciate the complexity and challenges of running an owner-operated entrepreneurial business. For more than a decade they struggled to manage the overwhelming needs of the business, while also building their young family, and finally they hit a major ceiling in 2017.
In her pursuit to uncover a better way to manage and run their business, Renee discovered Traction by Gino Wickman. Armed with the book and her determination to turn the business around, Renee began a self-guided implementation of the tools and disciplines outlined in the book. Within months the business stabilized, and the ship started to turn around for the better. The company went on to achieve double digit year-over-year growth and expanded to multiple new locations.
With this proven and practical playbook in hand, and the firsthand experience to prove that it worked, Renee launched Rise Up Coaching Ltd and started to transform the lives of entrepreneurs across Western Canada as a Certified EOS Implementer. In her pursuit to accelerate her mastery of the Entrepreneurial Operating System, Renee became a Coach of Coaches for EOS Worldwide in 2020 and took her expertise to a whole new level.
Having run more than 500 sessions with leadership teams across every business type imaginable, Renee discovered a common theme that business owners were not educated on how to build the valuation of their business asset and prepare it for a successful transition. This led her to become a Certified Exit Planning Advisor and Value Builder Advisor to help them build their business to sell, and unlock their wealth so that they could live their life by design.
Today, Renee and the Rise Up Business Coaching team proudly support entrepreneurs of closely held companies to leverage the proven systems and methodologies to help them gain control of their business, maximize their valuation, and build a significant organization that can transfer and last for generations, meanwhile allowing them to live their life by design and make a profoundly positive impact on the world.
